Exploring the philosophy of Pratiksha Parsekar: where royal Indian handloom heritage meets modern architectural tailoring.

Pratiksha Parsekar
Founder & Creative Director · 2012
Pratiksha Parsekar established her eponymous atelier in Chandor, Goa with an unwavering resolve: to liberate Indian couture from heavy, stiff, mass-manufactured imitations. Having studied classical tailoring and textiles, she observed that brides were frequently forced to choose between authentic hand embroidery and modern wearability.
Her solution was radical yet rooted in history: pair generational karigari (Aari needlework, Zardozi wire embedding, and hand-cut gota) with ergonomic western tailoring foundations. By integrating internal boning, weight-distribution can-can cages, and anatomical armhole curvature, her bridal outfits feel astonishingly light, allowing brides to move and celebrate with effortless majesty.
We work directly with master aari artisans in clean, dignified studio environments, ensuring generational techniques receive fair honorarium and artistic ownership.
Zero polyester substitutes. Every yard of mulberry silk, Chanderi, Katan, and organza is certified authentic and sourced directly from regional master weaver guilds.
Each bespoke client receives a customized 28-point paper pattern sloper, ensuring zero shoulder slipping, no underarm pinch, and seamless posture harmony.
Through our in-house academy, we train emerging designers, pattern cutters, and embroidery lovers, ensuring hand needlecraft thrives for future generations.
